nowadays, the terms feel interchangeable.
but in reality, i think they’re two completely separate things.
i like to define technology as anything new that can make current ways of life (or regular functions) more efficient.
early farming equipment was technology.
butter churns were technology.
the printing press was technology.
the early creation of stone-based tools was technology.
when it comes to digital, i view it as anything that requires some form of power or electricity.
phones, computers, cameras, modern medical equipment, etc are all forms of digital technology.
given the constant debates about future power sources and sustainability, I wouldn’t be surprised (and would like) to see the future of technology itself become more analog & independent rather than more digital & power-reliant.
